Many pharmacies offer a free prescription delivery service to your door.
Usually your GP practice will have collections from local pharmacies once or twice a day so it is best in the first instance to find out which of these pharmacies offers to deliver your prescription. Medicines are normally delivered on a regular basis and someone will need to be there to sign for them.
If you are taking multiple tablets each day and need help to sort out your tablets most pharmacies will do that for you and deliver your prescription in disposable dosset boxes.
Try not to stockpile medication, and only order what is needed. The cost to the NHS on medicines wastage is huge!
Let us know if your pharmacy goes the extra mile to offer you a better service. We will share the information with others in your area.
